More Details

EDI integrates electrodialysis technology and ion exchange technology. Through the selective permeation of anion and cation by anion and cation exchange membranes and the exchange of ions by ion exchange resins, the desalination of water is completed.

The typical EDI system processing procedure is: pretreatment→two-stage reverse osmosis equipment→EDI.

The single-stage reverse osmosis + EDI process, which was popular in the past few years, has repeatedly proved to be infeasible. The service life of EDI in this process is very short. The main reason is that EDI equipment can desalinate, but it can only undertake a small amount of desalination and cannot undertake a slightly larger load. Therefore, to adopt the EDI desalination process, two-stage reverse osmosis equipment must be used in the front.

EDI (Continuous Electric Desalination) can produce pure water without using acid-base regeneration. It is currently a relatively desalination technology. Has the following advantages:

1. Continuous operation, stable product water quality

2. The ultra-pure water production rate reaches 70%

3. No need for acid-base storage and acid-base dilution transportation facilities

4. No need to regenerate with acid and alkali

5. No reclaimed sewage, no need for sewage treatment facilities

6. Save water for backflushing and cleaning of reverse osmosis equipment

7. Reduced construction area and maintenance cost

8. Do not allow workers to contact acid and alkali during use

9. Simple installation and low installation cost
